Smart Feeds
The project is aimed at consolidating youth and adult science, popularizing the latest approaches to development and research in the field of agriculture. The development of personalized feeds with the introduction of plant and probiotic feed additives with prebiotic and probiotic properties, which will primarily contribute to improving the health and quality of fish, increase the growth and survival of aquaculture facilities, and contribute to the sustainable development of the feed and raw materials base. The results of scientific research obtained during the implementation of the project will form the basis for the industrial production of new compound feeds with synbiotic probiotics for fish, the entry of products into the Russian market and the import substitution of expensive imported compound feeds.
Objective: To develop solutions, technologies and products for the sustainable development of the feed industry and aquaculture in the South of Russia
Tasks:
- creation of effective and environmentally friendly synbiotic drugs and new feed additives based on them;
- reducing the environmental burden in the production of new feed additives for aquaculture;
- increasing the productivity of aquaculture facilities and improving their health;
- improvement of the quality of manufactured products;
- introduction of personalized starter and production compound feeds of the new generation;
- development of innovative technologies and new sources of proteins and fats that meet the challenges of the future, while being significantly cheaper than today's solutions;
development of a package solution for the production of domestic personalized feeds of a new generation, including those with pronounced probiotic activity: formulations, technologies, production lines, maintenance.
Achieved results and planned results by the end of 2024
- A package solution has been created that makes it possible to develop lines of personalized feeds of a new generation using domestic herbal and probiotic feed additives that promote intensive growth, increase survival and improve fish health.
- The development is aimed at increasing the share of aquaculture products in the domestic market and allows producers to launch production on an industrial scale as soon as possible and with minimal costs at all stages of production.
- The package solution includes: the creation of unique formulations and technologies, the development of technological lines for individual production requirements, support at all stages of the creation of personalized feeds of a new generation.
- Enterprises in the real sector of the economy can purchase both a part of a package solution and a complete turnkey product.

Technical and environmental/social effects:
Technical and environmental effects include: ensuring the safety of aquaculture products at different stages of ontogenesis and obtaining environmentally friendly products; obtaining feed using resource-saving waste-free technology, that is, using unclaimed agricultural products in the formulation of a new generation of feed, for example, non-grain part of crops.
The main social effect is the development of personalized feeds with the introduction of plant and probiotic feed additives with prebiotic and probiotic properties, which will primarily contribute to improving the health and quality of fish, as well as increase the growth and survival of aquaculture facilities, which together increases the proportion of safe food per capita.
The economic effects should include: reducing feed conversion and increasing survival by more than three times, resulting in an increase in the total volume of finished fish products with 15-20% less feed consumption; reducing the cost of the final product by at least 15% without deterioration in quality; increasing domestic feed production, which together will lead to food security and technological sovereignty countries.
